Coraline or

Hello all! I got my tank including rock and stock second hand and I have a few patches of growth that I am not sure if they are nuisance algae or just corraline. The more bright purple stuff seems to have overgrown a patch of what I was told was “encrusting gotgonian” coral, similar to GSP. None of my other corals seem to be affected including actual GSP. Pics below. Any thoughts?

Looks like coralline growing over an old coral skeleton..

Just try to blow it off of the rock. If it is coralline it will be attached to the rock to where you won't be able to remove it.

Doesn’t blow off, hard to even scrape off. Thanks! It showed up much more in force after I slacked on a weekly water change and I was worried

Sounds like coralline to me.
