Corals above waterline

Hello again everyone. My tanks just got its first few corals in it and I had a question. When I do water changes in my 29g the top of the rock work is exposed to the air. Since I obviously don't want this to be blank rock forever I was wondering, how long can a coral survive outside the water? It would only be exposed for a few minutes while the water is drained and replaced. Or for another question, what corals would be able to stand this process the best?

I have my sps on the top of my rock work and every water change they are out of the water for about 10 mins. No ill effect on mine at this point.

SPS in lagoons are routinely exposed to air during low tides for hours at a time. Not that I would recommend that with a tank. I've had corals out of the water for up to 30 minutes or so though with no ill effects.

^^^^^^yup, people call it low tide in our tanks lol. Your corals will think they're in the wild.
