Very nice! Welcome to R2R! Please post often. :D

I still can't get over how much better this tank looks in person than it does in these pictures. We've got to work on our picture takin' skills. haha

thanx uall. got the tub at tractor supplie and feed store. ya i know i need a camera class. i have thought alot about the way it is setup, learn what works and alot that doesnt work. got 2 new blue linka starfish today. and some more snails. put the starfish in the frag tank for awhile intill i can get my harliquinn shrimp out of the display. more crappy pic will be here soon.

Welcome to the site and thanks for sharing! Great looking tank. One question for you. I like the idea of the tub with live rock. Curious about the deep sand bed along with the rock? And I'm asking out of pure curiousity - not challenging at all as I know this has worked for others. What is the benefit of the sandbed in the tub (assuming you have some sand in the display)? Do you find that it is a trap for detritus in the tub? Wondering if you have to clean it out often?

GREAT looking display! Love the setup! Thanks again.

a friend broke down his tank and we didnt wont to waste the sand so when i was setting up the tub we threw it it, also when i set up the display i used new sand, so when i trasfered everthing out of the current tank i had i just threw the sand in there as well. i have a couple of sand sifting stars, and 2 stipped tile fish that keeps it sturred up. i dont have no sand in the frag tank, and just enought sand to cover the bottom of the display. so i guess the deepsand bed in the tub make up for what i dont have in the other tanks. no problems with it so far. thanks for asking.

First off, welcome to R2R! Nice looking tank you've got there!

Nice tank and welcome to R2R!

hey Shane, looks like it is time for some updated pics, that frag tank has a lot more in it now than when that pic was taken...guys,this system looks a lot better in person than the pics show :D

Here is a new video. Took with iPad so not the best. Tank changed alittle, had a small crash lost some of my sps ( while finishing basement drywall dust got in and screwed it up, I think),algae outbreak, reaquascaping. Coraltastic's 180 - YouTube
