My tank is several years old and have gone without sand for a year. Four months ago I added one inch of crushed coral and live sand activator from Hawaii. I did rinse the sand as Brandon recommended. Daily stirring isn’t keeping the bed clean. Yesterday I did a little Siphoning and was surprised how many worms were in sand. The junk that I cleaned out didn’t smell at all. Should I siphon the sand and remove lots of the worms? There is so much detritus in the sand what’s the best way to clean it up or is it better to just leave it alone? I believe I’m done with Dino but not completely sure so I don’t want to drop nutrients to fast. No3 is 10-15 phosphate is 0.21.

With crushed youll have to keep it vacuumed as its so large detritus has lots of room to collect.
