Hello All,

I've always wanted to make a thread to track the journey of a new build but never had anything cool enough to show off until now!!!! I would like to introduce you to the 100% custom drop off.

The tank was finally delivered the beginning of Dec. after a few months of waiting and back and forth. The display holds roughly 94-95 gallons of water and the sump is about 30 gallons. The sump was also customized by Modular Marine (pictures to come).

If you are interested in updated pictures and pictures of past coral owned follow me on Instagram : eljefesreef

As a smart guy I make sure to include the mrs in this build since it will be the center of attention in the living room and we both agreed we want the tank/stand to compliment the style we have going. I have not picked a final color for the stand but below are some pictures of the custom panels for the stand. The panels have a design just like the wood panel walls we have. I epoxied the magnets myself using Gorilla Glue Epoxy. follow me on IG at eljefesreef!

Let me repeat this may be a slow build or not....

Here are some pictures of my rock scape that I came up for the drop tank using shelf rock supplied by Premium Aquatics. The focus will really be the top tier which will be all sps and the bottom will the lps and softies.

Its hard to capture the depth and unique rock work with pictures but once its wet I will post a video!

The build will be powered by vectra M2 from ecotech and @Vivid Creative Aquatics with the random flow generators
This look like it will be an epic build. Those 1/2 Random Flow Generators® are the prefect size for this tank and the amount of flow you'll be able to provide them. I think you;re going to like them.

really like the what i can see so far of the aquascape - can we get a wider shot of the full tank with the rockwork in place

@Vivid Creative Aquatics Here's a photo dump for you! Very excited to get the tank plumbed next week and see the nozels in action! It was late at night when I took the pictures hope you can see what I've made so far(spectrum was white but looks blue). Top tier will be sps bottom LPS and softies

In my past tanks I never ran an apex but recently I had a huge alk and temp spike in a small sps holding tank that had 100% mortality. So this time around I'm taking precautions. I will also be having other contingencies. Trident will also be installed in a few months.

The fish that got me into the hobby 15 years ago was the yasha + pistol shrimp symbiosis. Every tank I have owned has had a mated pair and this build will be no different. I made this cave specifically for them and it's a nice way to keep the pistol shrimp in check . It's nice and flat for a zoa garden to grow out too! #yashagoby

My Xmas present for thr tank was the ap9x. I ran the ap700 but this newer model is a beast! I still need to cut the excess wire and get a shorter screw but thanks @Kessil!
