I woke up this morning and my clownfish was dead. I always check to see how my fish are and there was no signs of it being sick. My water and everything is spot on. All i have in the tank fish wise is my clowns and a fire fish. So I'm not sure what went wrong.

I'm no expert , maybe someone from #reefsquad can help .. can you please post your tank parameters .. I know you say they are good , but people would rather see the info for themselves , just some advice , but the more info you can provide in any post or question in the beginning, will help speed up any answers , I hope someone can help tell you what's gone wrong !!!

It would be impossible for anyone to tell you for sure what killed the clownfish but what you have seen isn't too uncommon. Clowns will rarely show signs of either Ich or Velvet because of their thick slime coats. Their gills are still susceptible to these parasites however, so more rapid breathing may be the only visible indication. It is also possible that the Clown was injured or poisoned when captured and was slowly deteriorating.

I would keep a close eye on the fire fish for visible symptoms. It should show more classic symptoms of anything you may have in your tank causing issues.

Did you find him inside or outside of the tank? I've lost a few of them due to them "exploring" the outside world.

Did you see the deceased clownfish attempt to go into the BTA? Or was he ignoring it?
