Ok, So I bought some of the E-bay chinese 120W (55x3w 27 10k and 28 460 actinic) LED's for my 40 breeder. Yes cheap I know but it is what fits my budget for now. My tank previously had 2x150W Phoenix 14k MH w/ 2 96w actinic PC's. I have heard that a lot of people have trouble with bleaching corals when they switch from MH or T5 to LED. I really don't want to do this sooooo my question is: What is the suggested process for aclimating your tank to your new lights? I'm worried that I will go too slow or too fast. How will I know if they are bleaching from lack of light vs. too much light?

Thanks
Lucas

i am doing the same transistion that you are, if you have a didgtal percentage output then start at around 30%-50% and go up 5 percent each week(1% each day keeps yours corals from decay), if its just a dial i would start at quarter turn and turn 1/16-1/8 per week for about 3 months.- with good quality led's you shouldnt have the need for 100% only few SPS corals need that high power. i just got the AI SOL Super Blue's and will be doing this. this is what i ahve heard and researched some take longer some dont take as long all preference and what you have stocked.

I have the taotronics. I started at 25-30% both blue and white. Every couple days I just gave it a tiny turn. I maxed out at 60, didn't feel the need to go any higher.
