diatom filter use it yes or no

any of you use a diatom filter to make that water sparkle is thier any bad outcome of using it

The only downside to the diatom is when the powder escapes from the filter. It clouds the tank and could irritate the corals. I use a HOT Magnum with the micron cartridge as a water polisher. Works just as good.
