250 now? Thought it was 125 per 10 gallons... I'm confused... can we get a official dosing amount posted by op3 day black out is up to you. It's not necessary. We are doing 250mg metro per gallon or 2 spoons per gallon of MetroPlex for 3 days. 4th day you should notice a difference.
Do you have any pics of your tank as of now?

Oh ya they are ready for some cleaning! They do look different after dosing. This is how they look now.
You dosed 125mg of 100% metronidazole?I dosed 125mg per 10 gallons
Yes that is what I did. I did not own a bottle of MetroPlex this is where members add their input on how much was dosed. You dosed 125mg of 100% metronidazole?
Since I am using MetroPlex(70% metronidazole) I dosed 250mg. Instructions also say it's safe to do 2 spoons(125mg x 2) per gallon or 250mg per gallon.
Yes I dosed with all my CUC in place and have shown no ill effects. So @cowboy @twilliard , you both treated with your inverts left in your tank? I have some tiger conchs and some hermit crabs and a handful of snails and I am going to attempt treatment with them remaining in the DT.
Is it a powder form or what? Can i add it to a water change? Like add it to the fresh sw when i go to fill the tank back up
Lol. They don't multiply because y'all killed their sex drive? I guess if my DNA were damaged, maybe I wouldn't care either. We've noticed under the scope that once metro is introduced, the dinos become lethargic and disoriented. They no longer care to be in groups at this point.
As strangedejavu showed, the filter would have to be pretty fine to actually catch dinos. For those of you with sumps, when you are ready to start removing the dead dinos, get a spring type hose clamp and clamp a filter sock and long siphon onto your sump. Siphon dinos directly into the sock and bypass sending them to the water column. They should be good and loose and make for a quick and easy task. This will reduce risk of aerosolizing toxins from dangerous species.
I think Jason has microscope slides with scale bars on them.May I as.. when a person wants to know the size of a cell is is that dependant on the scope used or is there an attachment a person can get for a scope?
I thought it was 250mg per 10gal, not per gal? This is confusing people.Yes that is what I did. I did not own a bottle of MetroPlex this is where members add their input on how much was dosed.
I am confident that metronidazole can not be overdosed (unless massive amounts)
Gah! Good catch! I might have stated per gallon.I thought it was 250mg per 10gal, not per gal? This is confusing people.
