DIY 30x30x18 rimless cube!!!!

Well there was some issues man honestly... Let's just say list night I was asleep I hear a noise down stairs the skimmer is overflowing and next thing I know it's almost 3am and I'm doing a huge water change... Very long night..:cry:

I hate it when I hear something go bump in the night near my tank. I'll go racing towards the tank to inspect everything. Every so often i find something wrong. What was up with your tank/skimmer?

Edit: One night I had to do an emergency WC and figured while I was emptying my sump i would plumb my reactor in. This led to a 2AM ER visit. I tried cutting my finger off with a serrated carving knife. Every job has a tool and a serrated carving knife is not the one for cutting tubing.

Just hates me and everything else haha...All iPhone shots my pc is not working so I can't do the dslr... I must say it sure is nice not shooting pics under LEDs the pics come out nice...

Really don't want to talk about it haha.... I insisted on mike shipping me my nem so I could get my corals moved over and the big tank down... Well as a few people know the nems were subject to a alk spike while mike was attending to his premature nephew... Well I twisted his arm and said all will be well.... It arrived alive and looked okay pretty stressed from the shipping and other mishaps... Anyways last night it expelled it guts or something and my tank was very cloudy...:sad: very depressing.... Talked to mike and he said no worries he will send a replacent free of charge..... "that's one heck of a stand up guy!!!" it's really my fault but mike is the greatest ever and gonna bring my pride and joy and back...:sad:

Sorry to hear that. I had a rainbow nem get chopped up in a powerhead and felt the same way. Mike seems like a great guy, most people would say "oh well, not my fault". I am planning on buying a quite a bit from him by the end of the summer.

I built this tank for that nem.... That's why it was so special to me this tank has no powerheads etc for that reason I wanted to provide the safest and best possible home I could provide for it... I mean not that I don't do that for my corals anyways but I made this with a bunch of extra safety factors I don't normally do just for it...:sad: oh well maybe a month or so I will get to cherish it again....

Lee you won't ever see that clam outgrow your tank, I think you will be supprized on how slow Crocea's actually grow. Sure it will add on scutes but they will be so close together you won't even notice that it is growing.

That's what I was thinking mine looked like too can't wait until it grows up a bit mine is little too but hey I got a deal so it's worth it to have the beauty right? Looking good man! That yellow plate pops huh? Might be happier in a shadier spot though they bleach easy man!

Yeah the plates are cool I have never owned one before... It's kind of going orange and yellow like a sunset maybe?? Dunno like I said there my first.... I'll move them in the shade....

Nah I mean luckily I heard the noise from the skimmer overflowing... I immediately removed what was left of the nem changed my carbon and did a 25percent water change... I was gonna do a 50 but didn't enough water made up.... Didn't lose a single Sps or anything water was clear when I woke up and skimmer was producing foam again so I should be clear...."fingers crossed"
