Any way you could give an estimated cost on your BRB?

Let's just say I built both of those like the new reefbrite xho but these are ran about 50 percent brighter and I payed less for the whole thing than I could of bought of a single reefbrite.....;)

Btw Rick you can buy aluminum flat bar in all different widths and thickness.... Be pretty easy to make cut them to length with a jigsaw.... Here locally you can buy it at Curtis steel or p&s steel for a decent price.... For the rest of ya just check your local yellow pages under steel supply they will carry it....hth

Man I'm sure it's way up there.... That cube has way more light than my current big display.... Let's see hmmm 250watts of mh 96 watts of t5s and 108 watts of LEDs haha.... Almost 500watts of light on it the best part is the coverage is great on such a big foot print...I'm thinking I might put optics on the LEDs thou the light spillage is nasty with them LEDs on there the whole room and half my living room is blue now haha..... Maybe I can find some reflectors dunno I was checking out a candle power forum the other day and reflectors seem better thAn optics from what I saw.... I just remember firing up the big led system the light was every where once I installed optics you couldn't even tell it was on...;)

Looking good! love the heatsinks you made. If you go with optics check out the 60 degree units due to the angle and height of your fixture. Thanks for sending me the link! I love to see the end product.

Thanks guys for the kind words.... Got word my buddy is leaving the hobby who bought"well waiting for my equipment" my apex and mp60 so I guess I'm keeping the apex now it will go on the cube....1smile1 now I'm kind of wishing I bought dimmable drivers for the LEDs oh well haha....

lol!!!!!! Dude I'm telling ya 3 yrs ago I had never thought about owning a tank in my life I really couldn't afford one either.... So what did i do???? I built one than I built a a skimmer a sump etc.....here I am 3yrs later loaded with knolodge and building things I have never seen in real life.... I mean I built a couple atb skimmers from scratch the cone and all even made my own pump on the first one "man that was a great challenge" and look at it now.... I have some of the best in the world stopping by to see my builds....:xd: go figure lol... It means a lot man I remember when I first joined here and a couple like victor "atb" Jon Warner and others stopped by and had something nice to say.... It means a lot man it truly does!!!!!!! What more can I say besides thanks...1smile1 it just goes to show you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it!!!! Every thing I have built is from pictures off the Internet and from the great advice of people like the ones on this site!!!! Like I said guys thanks for the kind words and dropping by it means a lot it really does....:)

Got the bubble Magnus 7 part dosser online today... Yeah after sitting in a box for a year I have plugged them in and there active... Pretty cool gadget but I ran into a issue go figure... Because I have had them for a year I'm sure there is no warranty so gonna see what they say... I plugged them in today for the first time and all is well except one head keeps popping off...:tongue: I tried swapping them around and it's the same issue just a bad head I guess...:( waiting to hear back from them in a email as we speak..... Just got to hook up the apex and that system is 100 percent done!!!!! Wow I never had one of them haha.....

Thanks man I did go pretty fast I had sps encrusting with in 30 days of having this idea to build this haha....
Man this tank is so automated I don't know what to do with myself I'm bored haha.... Was checking every thing today and all is well.... Now with the 7 part bubble Magnus doser going "mag, alk, cal, strotium, potassium, mb7, vodka" all brightell products besides the vodka of course.... Man should have hooked those up last year when I bought them.... Really excited to see how the corals respond to stability I mean manually dosing daily is one thing but it's a cap full here and there this is measured to the tee.... Guess I gotta brush the dust off my test kits and start checking everything..... Still debating if I should continue with my kalk+2 top off or not.... Might save a little money from dosing the chemicals but not sure if the risk is worth it or not....

well my second signature nem was hand delivered yesterday by mike himself..."big props" anyways here is the reason i built this tank!!!!!! anyone who has ever doubted that nem needs to get corrected real quick!!!!! haha you know my pics suck and this still looks sick!!!!unedited in the raw here we go... this thing is way brighter in person than my camera grabs and i can't get enough haha:xd:
taken under phoenix 14k with t5s on 3 blue+ and a purple+ i couldn't get a pic with the leds it messes with my camera and i don't know how to fix it...
sorry it's kind of tucked away in the rock right now but you get the jist..... plenty more pics to come as she comes out of hiding....
