Nice!! I like your snocassos ! I normally don't like them as they look to weird but your clownfishs' markings are of my liking

So far this is one of my favorite builds I've followed!
I hope my future cube will be even half this great!

Thanks for the kind words bob..... The LEDs are some el cheapo ones we have at work we buy them china in bulk I forget the name I'll get it tomorrow when I get to the shop... They come on a 20ft roll with self adhesive tape on the back you just peel it and stick them...:)

Well let there be light!!!!! Got the fixture and all the new bulbs and my babys today.... Got a few issues I got to work out with the tank like it's running very warm and it didn't even have a light.. it's the dart causin the problem it's getting hot in that stand... Dang it... Haha I put my hand on the motor and it burned me so I put a fan in the stand for now and the tank dropped from 83 to 79 in 6hrs so hopefully that cures it... Also got to get the dosing pumps hooked up and were all done the rest is transferring corals over and watching it grow...1smile1 I put a couple tester sps pieces in there to see how it goes before I make the move.....oh yeah had to make a cover for the overflow with a comb until my clowns grow up there about 1" right now I didn't want any accidents.... Also like to say!!!!!! Man it feels good to be back in it to win it!!!! Haha I was getting burned out but this build and this tank has brought the spark back....

side note..... I see all the mentions of a drop off tank in threads and sigs, yet I have never seen any pics. got pics?

Its looking great Lee. Those clowns are awesome. Need to clean up the wiring on the light a tad bit tho. Maybe you can use the wire covers for the plasma TV's and attach it to wall and paint it the same color so its not a visual distraction. You can even get a little crazy and run the stuff through the wall since this tank is going to be set up for a while. No reason hiding all the wires inside the tank, just to have them right in your face outside of the tank.

Yup^^^ agreed Matt..... For sure gonna clean up the wiring I was lucky I got that far with it yesterday my wife was flipping out I have spent the last 5 or 6 days well I should say nights working on it and it has cut into our quality time after kiddies go to sleep so she hasn't been a happy camper...:( I just wanted it functional for now I have to take a break and patch up the issues with the family it has caused.... Not real issues but you know the cold shoulder and dirty looks etc.... It cost me greatly to set this thing up it's one of those well if your gonna keep spending money on that stupid tank I'm going shopping things so ya know in the end the tank cost triple while I'm at home depot buying PVC she's at the mall buying shoes and clothes haha.... gotta do what you gotta do to keep the peace....:xd:

I think almost every Reefer knows exaclty where your coming from. Lets see, in the last two weeks I have heard the following comments from the wife.
1# You said you were going to be done in ten minutes. That was 3 hours ago
2# You spent how much money, on what?
3# Next weekend your spending more time with me!
4# Your going to Lowes again, I thought you were just there.
5# What do you need that tool for?

I do make sure that I do spend plenty of time each weekend with my family, and ensure that I encluded them all in the hobby. My son helps me polish fish tanks already, and he's only 8. My dghter helps clean up the garage floor with teh shop vac. I make it fun for them at the same time. They love of the packaging bubble's that surround all the stuff that arrives via UPS. I'm slowly teaching them how to use tools and how to build some things instead of just buying everything & if we dont have the skill or tools to build something. we can a used one and fix it and make it look like new.

For the most part, my family is very supportive of the tank. They are the first to show off the tank when guest come over to the house. They all spend a thier fair share of time standing there staring into the tank. I have to say that the portal is the best item that I have ever bought for my tank, since my kids love to stand there and look around in the tank.

I have gotten in a trouble a few time for buying stuff that I could have waited to purchase. Two weeks ago my wife got even, she found out about my hidden Paypal funds and blew through it while I was at work. I started receiving the emails from paypal advising that I had bought items from Etsy. I didn't even know what Etsy was. Trust me, I know now. It was monies that I had made from selling fish stuff. I kept small fortune in there. She sucked up all my Apex funds. I wasvjust getting ready to order it this week, Oh well.:squigglemouth:

ahahahahahah that's how i do it i just buy and sell through paypal that way the bank statement shows nothing or very little anyways haha......to me it's doing nothing wrong it's all trades honestly i sell one thing to buy another sometimes it's a little more than paypal has in there but for the most part i don't touch my paychecks that's the bill money and for the family...... it's worked in the past and still is but here and there i splurge a little then i have to replenish the bank account with a sump build or something.... that's funny man.... as much as my wife talks crap about my tank she is also the first to show it off when we have company ahahahahahaha.....

oh yeah it looks like a ton of rock atm and it is but thats about 25lbs from my display to help seed the new rock i will be removing it so it looks like a minimal scape when i start stocking it..... the sump is kind of pita to get into so i added the extra rock in the display to just get it kickin......;)

You won't regret the Phoenix man unless you want bluer give the neuco aquastar 20k (deep blue star) a try got them going on a clients tank switched from radiums and the added pop is night and day!
well the phoenix is a bit white lol..... not what im used to but if the growth is good i can live with it..... it might be the t5s i went with 2 purple plus and 2 blue plus i think i might swap a purple for a blue and see if i like it better or not..... really hard to say i always ran radiums and now i run leds only and it's so much bluer than this tank but on the other hand might, make it great for my poor photography so im hoping it helps there....1smile1 i guess they just got to grow on me....

Looks good with some lights on it! Hey yeah the darts run warm if you have enough room I'd build a ventilated box around it with a fan sucking air out of it and that'll help a lot also it'll run a little hotter from the back pressure of the OM also watch out for the fan on the end of the motor getting clogged up, but with your fab skill you might be able to build a better fan for in it 

Got home from work today and the clowns ha me worried one was posted in the back corner side ways and the other on the opposite side in the front same way side ways.... They did that last night after the lights went out but today the lights had been on for 5hrs and they didn't budge so I was worried... Well I scooted them together with my hand and they once they found each other they paired up and began exploring... Yeah they kept trying to swim down a closed loop hole and get shot out so I made them a safe haven out of 2" PVC took 2 mins and there happy as can be....1smile1
