I used a short piece of 3" pvc pipe for the ring. I heated it up to make it a bit bigger

:) mine doesn't......however I change them out twice a week and I don't reuse them.

I have washed mine a few times and they hold up well. I would suggest rinsing before use.

I just went to Joann Fabrics, there were lot of options for Felt, I got really confused what to get and moreover the felt was $5.99 per yard
