that rocks thank you

Bump!

How do I cut this thin wall tubing, and also how do I properly heat it up to bend it?

I cut it using a fine tooth hacksaw blade, and to shape it I used a old filter sock I was throwing away and a heat gun on low. I would heat the tubing up ever so gently and a little at a time while shaping it around the lower lip of the junk filter sock. It was a heat tubing then form it around the lip, heat tubing and form it around the lip process. Lol

Just made these and so far it gets clogged every 2-3 days. depending how often i clean the glass, But it does really help the clarity of the tank! +1 being inexpensive !

I took an old filter sock and sacrificed the sock part and kept the plastic ring part.

I made my template 12x12. I simply put the ring inside the sock i made and use a 14" ziptie from home depot to tighten it down. It works great. I am on sock number 5 so far with no issues. I have noticed that they clog way faster than the commercial socks, usually can get 3 days out of one sock, but that's all I need to keep them in there for anyways.

Ive got 10 yards so I will be busy until next year this time making socks, lol

I did all of my sewing on a "lil sew & sew" sewing machine. Got it off amazon for $18 shipped to my doorstep same day, lol.

Time to move up to a real sewing machine. Might pick it up today or this weekend.
