I kinda view likes in the Hitchhiker ID / Algae ID are inherently a secret scoring system, especially if it comes from someone w/ some street cred on the subject. I don't think I'm the only one that feels this way!

Also, All y'all Hitchhiker hawks that monitor that section and ID that 800,456th bristle worm/pod/cyano patch are awesome folks. Its a thankless job that helps new comers get acclimated to the hobby when aliens start appearing in their tanks.

I can see it if I post something relevant to the thread or a cool picture, but when I say Hi, or welcome, 6 people "like" it .

Is there a race to see who can do the most "Likes"?
