Dolabella Seahare issue

Hey all. Quick question. This thing in the center is a swollen Dolabella Seahare. Used them for hair algae for a good 5 years on and off. Always lasted 9 months to a year. My new 300 is just over a year old and this is the second time I've added them to the tank. They just seem to swell up on and off and not do well. Water parameters are close to perfect. Got an ICP test result this week. All lined up but slightly high in aluminum. Other than that my nitrates are a little low. Any ideas?

I just saw the same thing happen to the sea hare I just put into my tank. The sea hare has been in my tank for 3 or 4 days and yesterday started grazing. When he was grazing I saw a strange bubble behind its head that almost looked like a blister. He moved to the glass and paused for a while and the bubble went away. Then today it was grazing on another patch again and it had the same swelling or "blister" showing up but in a bit different spot and larger. More on the foot this time. As I looked around I noticed there was an aptaisia anemone by the foot where it was swollen and I wondered if it might be allergic to the aptaisia? When it moves away from the area, the "blister" goes away. Any thoughts?

Mine does the same thing. Had it for over two years. It does that when it’s eating but it always goes away. Seems like a thing they just do. I was looking here to see if anyone knew why but I guess not.

Judging by the hair algae in the first picture, it can’t be a lack of food issue, right? I’m interested in seeing the responses here.

Just wanted to add that mine is doing it now. Had in tank for a few months. Eating great and no other
Strange actions that I know of with him. Seems fine otherwise and grazing eating well. Just wanted to document.
