I wanted to know if a Milwaukee MC122 ph controller would be the right tool for what I'm thinking. I was thinking of having a doser plugged into the controller and have it shut off if the ph in the tank ever went above 8.2 I understand most people use these controller for a calcium reactor and wasn't sure if would work for my purpose.

Is this is the right tool for this scenario or is there something else better for this case? I don't have an Apex or any other controller. This would just be as a fail safe in case something got over dosed.

Ph right now is about 7.7 - 7.8 I’m not after the PH boost but mainly planing on using it to maintaining DKH stable.

I thought using the controller as a fail safe in case something did happen but also just nice to see what the PH is. This would be a for nano tank 25g which why I figured I be on the cautious side of things.

I’m thinking of dosing 24/7 after determining my evaporation rate.

If it’s a fail safe, the 8.4 is more reasonable, IMO. There’s nothing wrong with pH of 8.4, but it will trigger in an overdose.

Okay that’s good to know. Do you know if the MC122 controller is appropriate for this scenario?
