Duncan not happy

I have this duncan for almost a year already and some new heads have already been growth. Last week I started to notice one of heads was not opening and at a closer inspection the "branch" it connected to had turned white also and started to propagate to other branches. What should I do? Should i dip it and cut it to stop the propagation? Thanks.

These are the parameters:
Alk: 7.8 ~ 8dKH
Ca: 430ppm
Mg: 1260ppm
NO3: 25ppm
PO4: 0.5ppm

The parameters are at this level for quite a long time already. I added 50g of Red Sea Carbon 2 months ago and was removed on yesterday after seeing this.

I would run new carbon, water change - Re test everything make sure it’s all on point.

any swings in temp? Or change in lighting? Or change in flow? Duncan’s are pretty hardy, but can also not do well to sudden changes.

I’ve had them do bad in an alkalinity swing. Also when chiller didn’t work- tank got to 82 degrees and they looked bad. They had a bit of shock when I upgrading lighting. So I know they can be temperamental but usually from something drastic in my experience. They have done well with high no3 and po4- but not sudden changes. I stripped po4 with phosphate e and they hated it..

So stability is key. If you had anything out of the norm recently that could be it.

I've actually changed the carbon on the day before yesterday, but i took it out after seeing the duncan like this.
Will take a closer eye on the parameters.
