We just added some Duncans to our tank. Now they are all happy and acclimated and coming out to say hello, but the one head looks to be missing some of the tentacles that come out. Almost looks like something nipped at it, but I believe it came that way. The head looks healthy overall, I'm just wondering if the tentacles will grow back?

You'll be ok. Like m and m said just feed it and it will grow. I fragged mine recently but before that had to stop spot feeding it because it was getting to big.

i was feeding mine twice a week oyster feast and man that thing grew like crazy it started with three heads and is now at like 50 or something within a year. I stopped feeding it because it was growing so fast. They are awesome corals as I like how they sway in the current.

Mine was the same way, i ended up giving out free pieces to new people in our state club when i moved to high end coral.

Yea i have given out a ton in my club i wish it was a write off. I give out a Tyree red watermelon often and its my favorite due to alot of people always wants " named pieces" coming into the hobby and i feel like its a pick me up for them. I only give it to the people who are or seem to be serious with there tank though. Also i have a colony of about 30+ eyes so im at no shortage.

Here is a pic of our Duncans. Our LFS has a small frag of duncans with 6 heads for $150. I bought this one online with 10 heads for $34. I'm happy!
