Mr.Sexy has escaped the containment basket and snuggled up with the Duncan in my 14G.

in fearing he will get lost in the 14G, i decided to put him into the Garden today while I did the water change.

Mr.Sexy went straight for the hammer/frogspawn thing that I transfered over from the 14G. i cracked the skeleton a while back with my stupidity, which you can read all about in my 14G thread. both heads have healed very well and I left the smaller one in the 14G.

I will be adding more corals soon and then we shall see how the light does.

it seems the goby has found a hole the shrimp dug last night. not sure if they have found each other yet but I think it's just a matter of time

I was planning on making a mount for the solenoid valve with magnets but my temporary placement seems to work really well. the geometry allows it to sort of lock in place on the tanks edge.

i also forgot to mention that i have decided to stop using the glass top for now. the firefish seems to have found a dart hole in the rocks and my room has been turning into a lava pit from all the humidity
great progress! I have been thinking of a sexy shrimp and RFA nano for well over a year. but hell i dont even have my main DT set up. but hey a guy can dream right!!?
love the scape BTW

thank you! it seems i may have added the sexy shrimp a bit too soon. he has disappeared. although i have not looked super hard so he may be in a rock crevice somewhere. i do have to say that a pico like this sets up so quickly and easily that i had to make myself slow down and add a bunch of mods .

This is a really good start to a really good looking tank Off to an awsome start. Definitely following along.

How are you liking the light ? I thought about getting the Pixie for my 2g tank.

the goby has finally paired up with the pistol shrimp, but as i had feared, they are shacked up in the rear of the tank and i can only see them by reflection. the goby is eating like a champ but i have only see the shrimp come out once for food. hopefully the goby is bringing food for the shrimp.

thanks. i think its still too early to tell on the light, however i do miss the built in dawn to dusk timer settings of my Micmol light on my 14G. i will be adding more corals soon and we shall see how the light fares. as it is right now i feel like its probably not going to be quite enough for higher light stuff but i have yet to crank up the whites so i will report back on it later.

I had to drive my mother a fair distance today so I went to one of my not so local lfs. they have lots of nice corals albeit a bit pricy.

i picked up 3 corals, a nessarius and a fighting conch.

I planned on a couple of nassarius but the employee advised me that nassarius snails are more carnivorous while the conch will be more omnivorous so I got upsold on one lol

i bought a Black Cherry blastomussa after seeing a Sakura pink blastomussa in another LFS that they wouldn't sell to me. this blasto
on is nice and pink

the second coral is a "Supergirl" acanthastrea. they had another one listed on sale but we're sold out, and this one was the same price and looks decently nice and bright. hope it holds its color well. it also seems to be carrying a hitchhiker that I would like to keep.

I believe this is a tunicate. hope it survives.

third coral is another clove polyp, but an orange variety.
