Just found these in my zoanthid tank.
Anybody know what laid them?
Each egg mass is about 1/16th in dia.

At first I thought nassarius snail eggs, but each of these egg masses is the size of a single nassarius egg.

I only have astrea snails in that tank.
They do look like nassarius snail eggs only alot smaller.

I see eggs like that occasionally in my tank, but I'm not sure what they're from, and I've got too many differnet types of snails to guess.

They're not Nerite or Cerinth eggs.

They look very similar to strombus egg sacs IMO.

They are good reproduces in our aquariums as the larvae are benthic and not free swimming.

Garrett.

Specifically I was referring to strombus maculatus as sold by IPSF here: http://ipsf.com/reeftanktuneup.html

If you have some of these guys, that could be them, if you don't... I got nothing for you.

Garrett.

Edit: read over their site and they say that each sac has 4-10 eggs. Yours appears to have significantly more. So I really do have nothing for you.

;)
