Emerald crabs in frag tank??

I have some bubble algae in my 40b frag tank and was wanting to try some emeralds. However I am worried they won’t be able to navigate the pvc legs holding up the egg crate racks. Can they climb the legs and get around on the eggcrate or no?

If you wrap the PVC legs with some coarse, open cell foam filter padding material they will be able to climb up onto the eggcrate. Zip ties will work great for tying the filter material to the legs.
