I just purchased a 12x12 1/4 inch piece of white acrylic

I’m looking to do something like this on my m130. Why did you cut out a square rather then a round 7 inch hole? Also what are the dimensions of the cut out? You still using the Klir do you recommend it?

I did the square just because it was easier to cut . The Klir works perfectly. I just used the Klir base as the guide for cutting.

Cool I think I’m going to do that because I don’t like the idea of shutting off one of my drain pipes just to run a filter roller

Adding in an update photo to show my struggles of hair algae, tank still looks good otherwise but out of all my years of owning reef tanks this is the worst algae outbreak I have ever had and longest outbreak.

I also fought Euphyllia eating flatworms and Brown jelly disease. Lost a grim reaper torch a couple heads off my hellfire and almost lost my holy grail. Recovered from all that though and now just fighting the hair algae.

This is one of my biggest fears. How did you overcome it?

so I just installed my Klir looks good but it seems to not be advancing the roll I noticed our sump has those cut outs in the first chamber in case of emergency. Is my water lever too high? Maybe I need to drain down some water.

I installed the Natur Dimensions roller on my M70 a few days ago. Based on the level sensor setting I used, it took about 3 days before I noticed any advancement on the roll. Now it moves a little each day.

I’ll try to put the sensor in the sump toward the front like you gave it see if that makes a difference

Put the sensor Uber the water if it doesn’t advance it could just be a bad sensor. I use them in my hydros collective . I’ve had bad ones right out of the box . I always have a backup

Putting in the water in the sump is just to test it, right? You want it to advance based on the water level in the roller filter box, not the sump level.

Yes just to make sure it’s working properly
It is working properly but I see it all clogged up and it hasn’t advanced. I was looking at how close it was to those emergency grates and was wondering if maybe the water level can’t raise high enough to trigger the roll because of them? But I can’t get the water level any lower in that section… I’m going to try and lower my sumps water lever tonight to see if that fixes the problem.

Can you lower the sensor in your roller?
