Hello
I have had a salt water tanks for well over 20 years . I feel that i have quite an advantage living near the water since o get my sand and my water right off the beach in winter and a boat ride out in the summer! i think it has helped with the longevity of my little creatures. i have a decorator crab that has spent 8 years with me, and an orange linckia starfish for 9 years. ( we think his mystical 7th leg gives him longevity lol) I have heard controversy at my LFS that taking ocean water is bad for your tank , however it’s is rare for my invertebrates to die of anything other than old age . So i think i’ll keep getting my ocean water ! i have been reading the site for a at least a year now so i thought i would join and learn even more, i can’t wait to get another tank to add to my collection !!
