All - the Fauna Marin ICP test instructions indicate to test your RO water. I use RO/DI water in my tank. Should I test the RO/DI water?

I could test straight RO water but that would involve disconnecting a part of the system, then reconnecting it, Since my system does not currently leak I’m not really interested in messing with it if I don’t need to. Thanks.

There’s nothing wrong with testing your ro water, but I have never seen anyone report an important problem with any 0 ppm tds ro/di.

Thanks. I wouldn’t expect an issue I just didn’t know if there is a reason they would specifically request RO water.

I didn’t want to get bad results in my tank water sample by sending in RO/DI.

It’s just a service they provide. It does not impact the testing of the tank water.

The only thing I've seen with zero TDS water is silicates coming through, which isn't a problem for your tank. it just makes the Hana phosphate test wrong.

I used ro/di on my first ever icp test the other week came back 100% in the green. Now that I know that good, the next test I ever do will just be in the RO side which is plumb to my fridge so I can just randomly see what I’m drinking
