We just recently got a "Deep Water Favia", it was a little brown around the red eyes on the top, and some of the green aswell. The sides are nice and bright. We were told it came from a system that had 24-4' T5's. I think he is full of ****. Our tank has only PC's and 2-4' T8 50/50. Parm's are ok. Any input would be great. Thanks

not unless the bulbs were ran front to back you could fit 24 bulbs on a tank...i could see this thou some people are crazy, a 6ft wide tank with a 24" front to back would fit the bulbs....i have actually seen a tank lit like that so it simulated sunrise to sunset the right side would fire first then go off as the middle fired and the middle would shut off as the left fired....crazy but it has been done!!!
just give the coral a little time i have one favia in a shaded area and it loves it, great growth and great color...

I don't see any questions. What is your question?

what is your lighting? it looks like a typical "christmas" favia to me...

definitely shade it / give it indirect light for best colors.

When you say your parameters are fine. What are they and how are you testing them?

Lights are 4' PC's with 2 4' T8 50/50. We also have a Xmass favia, which doesn't mind medium light, but they don't look alike. I will be doing some aquascaping this afternoon, to shade it and few others. I kinda figured it had been "burnt", seeing as the sides are vibrant. Thanks for your help guys.

Elos for Cal Mg & Kh, Marine enterprises for No3, PH. Was using Hagen, but to wide of margins. So bucked up the coin for good ones.
