Favia's vs Acans

Generally speaking how do Favia's stack up with Acan's?
Are they as hardy and easy to keep?
Do they like a lower lighting environment like Acan's?

About the same as far as ease goes.
Favia appreciate higher par. And acan would rather be mounted on the rocks where as, I find favia would rather be on the sand.
Acan respond better to feeding.
Favia tolerate heavier flow.
Favia more appropriate for higher energy sps dominated tanks.
Both will do well in similar conditions though.

One other thing to keep in mind is that favia can have very long sweeper tenticals that only come out at night, with a relatively strong sting. So they need more space.
