It seems the ReefMat is the favoured option so far, as expected - But its great to get opinions on other brands. Really like the idea of the ReefMat's spare parts availability though, thats a big plus.

I use Klir 7" Roller for several years now and can't complain about it. I use it controlled by Hydros and it's a working horse, but it can be used as standalone unit as well. It fits right in the filter socks braces without any modification to the unit or the sump. That was the selling point for me vs other brands. At the end all filter rollers might work the same way. "Removing particles from the water column polishing and filtering before it can break down".

I do however like this for smaller tanks, a big downside to most roller filters I found was the bulkiness of the top end - having it on a small tank such as a cube really makes it difficult to work in there. This looks like it saves alot of space!

I have no issues with my Reef Factory Smart Roller S

That is quite possibly one of the nicest sumps Ive ever seen. Must of took some serious thought and planning. Bravo

I’ve basically only seen three options that I really like: MRC, Royal exclusive and Deltec. I’ve handle both the royal exclusive and Deltec at friends places but not the MRC (I don’t think Sweden is a priority market for them haha) and I will soon be getting a Deltec myself. I currently run a Arka fleece roller and that would probably be my go-to if I had a smaller tank.

I find most options in the market to be fairly janky and has a cheap feel to them.

I have the Reefmat 500 and it's one of the best pieces of equipment I added to my reef! Build quality is rock solid and once you get it set up, it just works. I don't miss filter socks!

Love my reefmatt - just with they were a little more compact!

But saying that, i have not missed washing socks - mine is going over 2 years strong now.
Only thing that has gone was the motor, and it was replaced straight away (parts are readily available).

Nice I’d love to try to mrc roller just hard to justify the price of a new one.
