It seems the ReefMat is the favoured option so far, as expected - But its great to get opinions on other brands. Really like the idea of the ReefMat's spare parts availability though, thats a big plus.
I do however like this for smaller tanks, a big downside to most roller filters I found was the bulkiness of the top end - having it on a small tank such as a cube really makes it difficult to work in there. This looks like it saves alot of space!
I use Klir 7" Roller for several years now and can't complain about it. I use it controlled by Hydros and it's a working horse, but it can be used as standalone unit as well. It fits right in the filter socks braces without any modification to the unit or the sump. That was the selling point for me vs other brands. At the end all filter rollers might work the same way.
