Years to decades, I can't say I've paid much attention to how long the larger ornamental ones live but way, way longer than 1-1.5 years. I have seen smaller ones (I usually get Philippine species) gorw over several years so a life expectancy of decades seems a more likely expectation if properly cared for.

I’ve had mine try and spawn once, I’d like to get a bunch of em and see if they’d actually propagate in the tank….
my one feather duster blew of sooo much steam he clouded the tank for hours you could hardly see through it, corals absolutely loved it lol
