That’s what I was thinking as wellYears to decades, I can't say I've paid much attention to how long the larger ornamental ones live but way, way longer than 1-1.5 years. I have seen smaller ones (I usually get Philippine species) gorw over several years so a life expectancy of decades seems a more likely expectation if properly cared for.
