Feeding?

What do you all feed your corals?? I have a bunch of zoas and mushrooms and palys and candy canes, hammers, xenia. ..

Nothing I feed my fish and all corals in the tank eat what ever floats by or the fish poop.......

I've used mysis and that works well. I used to use my own DIY frozen mix but recently found that some ingredients had high phosphates in them so I won't put it in my reef tank anymore. I only use it for my fowlr.
I turn off all my pumps, feed the fish first (by that time the corals have feeding tentacles out already, plus the fish aren't hungry so they won't steal the corals food) and gently drop a few bits of food onto the tentacles. I try to make sure they have plenty to eat without going overboard. I leave it for about half an hour or so then turn the pumps back on :)

Awesome. That is good advice. I had just been using some chemicals and everything is beautiful but not growing. So maybe ill have to try target feeding with what I feed my clowns.

I've noticed a lot of growth since I began feeding. Especially on my candy canes and cynarina. Hopefully you will too!

Oh, and it may take a few weeks before your corals really respond to the food. They're probably following their natural behaviour and trying to feed at night, but they will eventually adapt to daytime feedings :)

Mysis, they love it. Feed 1-2 times a week for optimal coral growth imo.

I spot feed once or twice a week. Either reef roids or Mysis. Turn pumps off for 15-20 minutes while feeding

Then I add some reef chili and mix it up in water, use the thing for spot feeding with all my pumps off.

I've noticed a great increase in coral growth and better health since I've done this.

Fish, I feed New Era flakes and pellets.
