I got one of these guys last week, and is the only wrasse thats hiding out in a rock often. I see him swimming often, but in the rock as well. I don't see any aggression in the tank anymore, so I'm wondering if this is normal for this fish?

Any insight?

Yup I see him swimming, but see him in that rock hiding as well. He's the only fish that is hiding out right now.

That is strange, have you seen him eat much? Are you sure there aren't any fishes that are bullying him?

Yup, I saw him eating fine tonight when I fed mysis. And Im almost positive that nobody is bullying him anymore. The flame was harassing him and the Labouti, but I haven't seen him doing it for the last two days.

As Chris said, he is likely to come around, however in the wild these fish are often found around rock piles so it is not an uncommon behavior for it to be hanging out in the rockwork.

Cool, thanks guys. He's a great looking little fish, and I'd hate to buy him and have him just sit in the rocks all the time. haha. Hopefully if I get some more flashers, he'll be enticed to come out.
