So i got velvet from somewhere. Lost a lot in a 74 gallon reef. Pulled remaining 2 fish out to qt in copper and peroxide occasionally. Definitely velvet. Not ich here
.
Flame angel and dijardini only survivors
Losses
2 storms
3 anthias
Cardinal
Random damsel
Yellow tang
Kole tang

Then started dosing peroxide on my 180 gallon reef as preventative. As well was rally pro. Ended up seeing spots likevich not velvet after new corals. But after a few days saw a tang swimming into powerhead. Ripped apart tank and using spare 125 gallon reef as qt. Coppersafe at 2.0. Moved all fish from display there 14 days ago exactly. Looked great until last yesterday noticed white spots more like ich than velvet. All eating acting fine. Checked copper again. 1.99. So put a bit more. Snd dosed peroxide. But its on most fish. How is anything like this able to come back in copper so strongly. Its not like velvet looked. Clear grains. Not dust. No powerhead swimming. All behaving great. Pigs and active as always.

No losses so far
6 anthias
2 chromos
1 yellow tang
1 dijardini not same as above
1 flame not same as above
1 powder brown
1 hippo
1 blond naso
1 purple tang
1 majestic foxface
2 cardinals
1 gamma
1 scooter
1 lawnmower
3 clowns. But 3rd is only waiting for another home

Peroxide and Ruby rally are the most ineffective with velvet and hypo too wont work. Best option is Coppersafe or copper power at 2.25ppm for a full 30 days while leaving the display tank free of fish for at least 6 weeks and adding an air stone during treatment. Monitor copper with a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit

All yes to above. Monitoring etc already doing that. Wouldnt risk ammonia spike with so many fish. Question is if anthias or other sensitive fish will survive 2.25 30 days. And i feel its odd it attacked while in active copper. And after 14 days. Testing with hanna on copper and ammonia along with indicator. Running uv too. 36w twist. Was not even thinking to put anything back in display for a while at least 6 weeks. Just wanted to test peroxide effectiveness with molly.

Tough to see from your pictures, but 2 things come to mind. Your copper level may have been too low to be effective. I usually run higher that >2.25 for 30 days. I second possibility is that your copper treatment is working and your seeing Mucus Cones from healing.

You should really be checking levels once/day - and the level you were using was on the low end - which is probably why potential ich developed. Additionally, I would not use peroxide dips with copper. The peroxide is probably irritating to the skin, and may be causing mucous plugs.

Water marks make it hard to clearly see but I do see signs of skin irritation in which copper would be effective.
Peroxide is an oxidizer and while used by some, again is noy highly effective and can burn valuable time with treatment allowing disease to overtake the fish

Nice looking bunch. One thing that could impact your Copper Measurement is I see Rock in you QT Tank and that will cause problems maintaining a therapeutic level. You can leave it in, but Copper Testing must be done more frequently.

It appears as though the velvet is back and on more fish. Copper has been 1.9 to 2.0 entire 16 days or so. What started with a few having it so i moved everything out to a giant qt. This round it looks as though its on many more. Is it common for it to re host onto fish even while in copper. Looks worse today and clearly dust like velvet. But fish acting normal.

Velvet in Marine fish usually does not present as 'dust' - instead its breathing difficulties and perhaps some scratching. Your copper level should be 2-2.5 as compared to 1.9 to 2.

Additionally velvet would be rapidly killing fish. One issue is that you have a lot of fish in a small area - which makes any disease spread faster. If you want to send more pictures that would be great.

The main indicator that you velvet would be rapid breathing and they would not be eating. If not, more than likely ich. How often are you checking your copper levels as it will fluctuate with the rock in your QT Tank.
