I was wondering what everyone is doing? I have a Finnex HC-810M controller for my temperature control. But I also have the apex. Should I plug my heater element to the Apex? I can’t seem to set my high on the Finnex to anything lower than 80. My tank maintains between 78 and 79F. Now that I have a Blue spot jaw fish I want to run it between 77-78 but I can seem to figure it out using the finnex. What do you all say?

I can't help with how to lower the temp on the finnex controller because I'm not familiar with it. But as for which to let control the heater, I would use both. Let the finnex turn it off and on and use the apex as a failsafe. That's what I'm going to do with my apex and inkbird I just haven't done it yet because I've not had the apex long and I'm lazy so it takes me forever to get around to changing anything on my tank.
