First shot at shooting sticks

So I've been cultivating sps for a while and have always wanted to share the crazy colors I see under my blues with everyone else so I took the plunge and got a Nikon D3400. Been messing with it the last few days and got a couple good shots.

Question, Is there anyway to capture all of the vibrant colors while blasting blues without a filter? I can capture some colors and on other corals nothing at all. Cant capture anything from my Alter Ego and its crazy colorful...

I just ordered some and a porthole. Used a buddies but he only had yellow. I know when shooting with my iPhone the orange filter seemed to work the best.
