Hello everybody

I’ve bought a new Mimic tang last week and I am keeping her in the quarantine tank for now.
This evening I found her with a fat belly and moving in a dizzy way, I think she can’t defecate and looks like infected as I can observe.
Any advices on how can I help her ?
thank you

Can you get seaweed sheets, nori or something? Tangs need their vegetables, and I'm not so sure they would do well digesting pellets.

Yes I can, I’ll start feeding them seaweed sheets.
but do you have any idea how can I risk her? Because actually I am losing her, she started to move upside down. :/

I think I’ve read about folks using epsom salt in fish food to help then pass stuff from their gut. Not vouching for it but it’s worth researching.

also it’s probably worth popping into Humble Fish’s forum. There’s a lot of folks there that know a lot about health &diseases.

Seems like I read that peas will help.
Wouldn’t hurt.
I am sorry I didn’t get what you mean

I might try lights out and drop in an airstone to make her as comfy as you can. Less stress.

I'd try giving her frozen food with a higher moisture content. Pellets might be like us eating a protein bar to her.

I live in the other side Of the world, we don’t have that here :) I need to order it online and this is so much time luxury that I don’t have.
Actually I know she won’t make it but I am so disappointed because I am spending more money or QT(s) with no pay off :)
I am going fallow since 6 weeks now and I am still doing &@$@ and can’t add any fish to my DT till now because I am losing fishes as you can see :)
Wish me luck, I am just a few steps of quitting.

Don't quit. This is a learning process for all of us. You obviously care. You are doing what you can, that's something. Hang in there.
