I have had the issue of my fish getting stuck in my filter. First it was my small ocellaris clownfish, so I attached a piece of fine mesh over the filter (I have a AIO filter from fiji cube) but yesterday I noticed my diamond goby was nowhere to be found. I looked in the filter and he was sitting in the first section of the filter. has anyone ever had this issue/ know any solutions as to how I can prevent it?

Yes
Place a piece of eggcrate(used for lighting fixtures) in front of the teeth to overflow
