Hello all!
I’ve been out of the hobby for a few years since I moved from NY to VA. Now I’m planning on building a home and was so wondering if anyone had suggestions for how I could add a small fish room to this floor plan!?

I would be inclined to ask where exactly you would be wanting to put a dt tank. Is there no basement level? What about utilizing a closet space and building out from it to add spacing and versatility?

Would have to be on the first floor and I don't really see any space to insert a closet big enough to fit a tank, unless you're going to change the Floorplan layout. Not sure what size tank you're aiming for either, but you can put a nice Display here next to the stairs.

I was thinking the same for dt location. but was under the impression he was looking for a fish room so to speak something that could be out of sight from the main display and main living areas hence why i was thinking closet space that could be converted and opened up a little more to accomadate a decent sized space for fun fishy activities. Like the location you had picked out for the dt

This appears to be a closet area here can this be opened up to be able to get a decent space for the fish room so to speak

I was thinking that too, but because it's under the stairs, cutting into the stairs' wall could potentially create stair stability issues, or low overhead space in the fish closet that could make it difficult when servicing the tank??

So my first thought was DT where the red is and fish room where the yellow is. I’d like at least a 150 gallon DT. I’m just not sure if there’s enough room there. Also the home does not have a basement as of right now. This is all in the early stages but I want to make sure I’m thinking of this now instead of later.
