Hey all,

My flame hawk finished it's 2 weeks of copper on Saturday and was transferred into another quarantine tank.
I noticed while in copper that it had a small bacterial infection? but that remained unchanged while in copper so I just kept an eye on it. I've noticed today that it has spread just a little so I'm debating treating or just monitoring for a little while longer. I was going to treat with general cure for potential flukes but also thinking of holding off.
It's currently housed with a black molly and two fire gobies in a 3' tank. All eating well and normal behaviour.

Meds I have on hand are Furan-2, KanaPlex and nitrofuracin green powder.

I've attached a blurry pic but you can see the white vertical line on it's side. The top streak was there the whole time but there is a small spot just below that now.

Appreciate any assistance

You could give it a few days. If it continues to worsen I would just go ahead and start NFG.

Welcome to R2R!
The Flame Hawk's immune system has been suppressed by the copper treatment. Great quality food with some vitamins added can really help its system to deal with the infection.

I figured the copper would suppress it's immune system but as things have progressed a little I wasn't sure if it's a case of hit the panic button or wait it out (with high quality food).
I haven't added any new fish since I lost most of my tank 18 months ago so I'm extra paranoid at the moment...

Appreciate the advice!

You are welcome. While food and vitamins help the fish's immune system, it's important to ponder that's what meds do too. They don't cure anything, they just give the fish a helping hand while the immune system responds. You have the meds on hand if needed. That's great! If the area continues to grow, it's time to dose meds. NFG is a great wide spectrum antibiotic. Furan2 is part of NFG. Kanaplex is a very mild wide spectrum. You are good to go.
