Flex Pvc question

I would, and have used it 'inside' the water area - i.e. in the sump where leaks drip into the sump. I don't think the flex-PVC tightens up against the barbs as well as vinyl tubing so I would not use it in the normal plumbing areas under the tank where any water drips would drip into the cabinet. (And yes, I used hose clamps on the flex-PVC and it still had small drips in the line.)

I would have to say no. You can simply use a male pvc adapter in lieu of the barb fitting. I use almost exclusively flex pvc and love it for most all applications.

I will be using flex for my new build. I wouldn't use it on a barb though as it is meant to be used with normal fittings. If you want to use a barb, go with the reinforced vinyl tubing.

^^^^what he said. The spa flex will not have enough give to allow a clamp to properly seal and secure it around a barb fitting.
