They're Radiums. I'm still old school with my lighting, Pops. :)

I'm a Radium fan still! One of the best lighting I've ever used. Is it getting harder to find the bulb nowadays?

Nah... Seemed like it was extremely hard a couple of years ago, though! All the new guys in the hobby are borrowing money from Ma' and Pa' to get those fancy-schmancy doo-hickeys (LED's), these days. :D More Radiums for me!

I think if one's set up can battle the heat MH produces, a Radium MH set up with some T5's and/or LED's is the way to go.

I almost agree with you. :D For strong par throughout, I wholeheartedly agree with you. For the best pop, nothing beats VHO as actinic supplements, IMO. They just don't make any sense anymore... :: sigh ::

Haha, I'm right there with ya. Currently running that Radium/VHO combo and it's killer -- aesthetically (figuratively) and on the electric bill (literally)! :)

I'm loving my free Radions (LEDS) and have some awesome growth and coloration with it.
Not saying that MH are old school cause the coral farmers still are on top of that MH and T5 proven and still the trend for them.

Heck, Diesel... If they were free, I don't blame you one bit. :) I ran the first gen Radions and didn't like them personally. I'm getting some LEDs (D120's) this weekend from Huy (coolname1) to hang over my refugium, though. I've heard good things about them, and Huy's giving me a rippin' deal on them. :) Love that guy! ;)

Hmm... Never heard that before. Okay...Well, I have some T5's as backup. I've used PAR38 bulbs before and didn't have any issues growing out macro... I'll keep a sharp eye on that, as I'm getting those D120's tomorrow. I'll probably have them mounted up tomorrow night, knowing me. Worst case scenario, I'll use my sump's large section to grow cheato, and use the big 'fuge as a FOWLR. I have more room to expand to another setup, too.

Now, I need to build a manifold system for my Laguna 1500. :) More on that later.

Hey guys,

I put some D120 LED fixtures over the refugium. Here's what it looked like before I mounted them up. Yes, I'm using the top part of a cheapo shelving unit (plastic) to hold them in place for now. :D

Kind of drab and boring... Nothing special, but refugiums don't need much. I wanted something more, though.

It's a lot more crisp now and light is getting to the bottom. I got these lights from a friend of mine that purchased too many of them. They were BNIB. :) Here's some pics of the unwrapping.

I was going to try the Maxspect R420R but nah... It kind-of was a timing thing. My buddy posted these up, and I was in the market. :)

Thanks dude! I an a bit concerned on how the macro responds to it. Worst case, I'll make this fuge a frag grow out tank, and setup something fore macro with cheap lights.

LOL! Just for you, bro! ;) He's been an incredible addition to the tank. Solid mag! Starting to get more purple at the base, extending to the tips.
