I need to see this with my own eyes!
Maybe I can bring Mark with me.
And don't worry we'll bring our own buckets...................................against drooling.:dribble:

LOL! I wish it were as spectacular as you and Mark's tanks, but nah... Nowhere near it. :D I did have a but more fun this weekend though, but nothing like starting 4 purple tangs, or something crazy like that. :D ;)

LOL! Like whoa!

=======================================

Update:

Last night I added a Tek fixture over the 'fuge. All my macro was bleaching out from the LEDs I put over it. The Tek is a 8 bulb, and I need to play with the bulbs a bit. It's a bit too blue for a 'fuge. However, the macro appears to be coming back already.

Also, I added a lawnmower blenny, clown (typical), and a Scopas Tang to the refugium. They're all doing fine and eating off the rocks and what I throw in there.

The prize that I added last night was a purple ritteri! This thing is absolutely gorgeous! I was going to put it in the DT, but I'd have to persuade the other one out of there. I just might have to do that. That purple one is very rare around these parts. I had a good friend sell it to me since he wanted to do more SPS and the mag was in the way. Can't wait to show you all pics of this thing! It's definitely a prize! :D

So, now that I have the new T5's on there, it's really hard to get the blue out of my shots. I apologize in advance for some of these photos... The only fish I missed is the Lawnmower Blenny, but we've all seen them before. :)

Here's the wallboard now. I have both Galaxy ballasts on there, as well as all Apex modules. Both pH probes were calibrated tonight and just placed in the overflow of the fuge.

The tank is full of rock now. There's rock hitting the back wall now. I added another 50lbs because my buddy didn't need it anymore.

Here's some better shots of the wallboard.

Yes, I had to resort to one of these. LOL! It works fine. :)

Cleaned out the collector cup last night for the first time. Um... ewwww!

Here's the new, free to me, Scopas tang. Probably not a good idea having it in my fuge, but oh well.

The puffer was a bit nervous last night, but he's fine tonight.

Here's some shots that I thought looked interesting.

That's pretty-much it. I did go to Lowe's today and picked up a subpanel for my garage. I'm going to start working on that. I plan on running 2 x 20A feeds for to 4 plug gangs (one pair as a GFCI) and a 20-30A (20A is more than what I need, but 30A would allow for my compressor and mig welder later on) double-pole breaker for the chiller. Desperately needed in Houston... especially in Summer out in the garage. LOL! I was going to pay a contractor to do it for me (because I'm super lazy) but I figured I want this done "my way."

Any way, hope all is well with everyone out there! Reef Awn!

Thanks man! I guess that's a pretty big deal? LOL!

I had a friend that was thinking that he wasn't getting enough par with his T5's so he wanted to offload them and offered them to me at a decent price. He's buying some other lights (some LED fixture) next payday, so I let him borrow mine. I'll get them back in a couple of weeks. I'll probably put them over the frag tank that I'll be setting up here soon. I'm going to put a standard 40B right next to the refugium.

I'll try to get some updated DT shots here soon. Tonight, I really need to get my manifold built for the Laguna pump I have. I was wanting to use it to return water back to the refugium, chiller, and to the Ca reactor. So, I'm going to probably tie-in a couple of 1" fittings, as well as a 1/4" NPT fitting (of some nature) for the Ca reactor. Should be interesting, to say the least. :D

LOL! Thanks Chrissie! :D Honestly, not much has changed in the DT. Everything looks the same, with little growth. I've been recording my Bonsai growth, and it's pretty impressive. I moved the clam to the front because I love him. :D Other than that, nothing special going on. I wouldn't mind laying some Tropic Eden Reef Flakes over the top of my Special Grade though! Hmmm....

Oh, I also have GOBS AND GOBS of room under the tank now. When I moved everything out to the wallboard in the garage, it only left the MP40 drivers under the tank. I really need to work on my cable management now.

Wow... That was a dicey post. LOL

No! You da' man! :D

Thanks homey! I'm getting there! I picked up all my plumbing parts for the manifold. It won't get completely done, but I should be able to get the Ca reactor on by tomorrow night.

Thanks man! I'm just hoping I can keep the big guy happy! By far the nicest mag I've seen in real life! The colors are very unique.

So, I did a couple of things last night. First, I changed out a couple of the bulbs over the 'fuge. I took 2 ATI BP's out and put in a couple of brighter bulbs. Here's before and after pics, untouched, and with my cell phone:

It's hard to see the difference in pics, I suppose. It's a pretty big difference in person. It was way too blue before, IMO.

Any way... I also started working on the manifold for the Laguna pump. I want to use this pump to go to the chiller, to the Ca reactor, and to the refugium. All from the sump of course. So, I should only have 2 pumps in there when I'm done. One for the return to the DT, and this one. I have two kiddos at the house, so I didn't finish this up... I'm hoping to tonight.

2013-02-05_20-52-23_135_zps8432152b.jpg

The difficult (I say that lightly) part was modifying this valve to fit in 3/4" PVC. I used a Dremmel Trio for this because I busted the drill bit a long time ago.

2013-02-05_20-52-34_610_zps8797df10.jpg

Here's the goal... Of course, that's a dry fit.

2013-02-05_20-53-21_67_zps415afc0c.jpg

I didn't get a warm and fuzzy when looking at this picture... So, I cut some of that thread off.

***disclaimer... I don't recommend cutting something this small with a 12" sliding miter. :D

ZIP!

2013-02-05_20-56-03_593_zpsc09eb17c.jpg

LOL!

Then, I clamped and glued it together. Hope it works!

You can kind of see some of the manifold in this shot, atop the Laguna:

That's it for now... More later. :)
