Sorry for the multiple posts, I'm new to coral and convinced I'm going to kill everything lol
Is this normal for a favia? The rest of it seems to be solid but that part has been flappy for the last couple days.

The frag looks brand new, the loose part could have had some damage when shipped, refragged, or mounted, the rest looks fine. give it some time. see what happens

It is brand new, I just put it in on Friday which is why I'm super nervous. Is there anything I can do to help it?

Id honestly take a step back and relax. Not everything needs intervention and things happen in thus hobby when dealing with live animals. It could've been not enough glue at fragging, damaged in transport, etc. Id get it out of high flow and just monitor for now

That's high flow?? It's at the bottom of my tank away from the wavemakers... Hmm I'll have to figure out a different spot for it...
Lol you mean this hobby is supposed to be relaxing?? 🤣 All I've done is stress about the beautiful things I've brought home that I'm now worried I'll kill 😳

Ohhh yeah, I know what you mean. Get a reef tank, its soooo relaxing they said....🤣🤣. We've all been there, most people dont believe how i started my first saltwater tank because its so unbelievable and stupid to be honest. You are in the right place I assure you. As far as flow, I was meaning an area where the tissue isn't flopping around to give it a chance to heal a bit. Either way, that coral should be fine.

Oh ok, I'll see if there's a calmer place to put it, hopefully one of the softies that are currently in Tupperware filled with rubble have attached so I can make some space on the floor of the tank 😊
