So right now in my tank (75 gallon majority sps...have a DSB) I have a return of about 500 gph on a 3/4 sea swirl. and then on each side I have 2 mj 1200's with the sureflow 1600 mods (big props.) i've got a total of 2 of these on at all times. basically they alternate

1__________2
3__________4

1 and 4 are one...and then 2 and 3 are on. Makes a clockwise pattern, and then a counter-clockwise pattern. and the sea swirl just makes everything crazy. LOL

my problem is after so long, the shaft's have rusted, rubber endcaps melted away (or something) and they aren't turning on all the time.

I'm looking at buying some new pumps. This is what i'm thinking.

2 tunze 6025's and modding these. put these in place of 1 and 2 and having them on full blast
and then 2 tunze 6055's in place of 3 and 4 and having them alternate or something. or maybe even just 4 6055's, but I don't think I would need to spend that much money for flow right now. hmmm.

I've also been looking at 2 vortech's mp40w's, but when I tried a friends vortech when they first came out I remember it either sucking air, or blowing the sand in my tank and don't think it's worth spending that much to not have the thing turned up all the way.

basically, does anyone think the tunze's will be a good amount of flow? I may get the 6045's instead of the 6025's, but was thinking I could just mod the 6025's to get more flow out of them.

I really would love 2 of the 6105's but those things are too expensive.
