hello everyone,

anyone know how much flow i can do with 4 3/4 pipe down pipe and 4 3/4 return pipe?

i have an idea of what it can handle but just want to get a second opinion.

thanks everyone.

3/4" gravity overflows will not keep up with pressurized 3/4' returns. You need youir overflows to be larger than your returns otherwise you will need to restrict or throttle the returns so the sump does not starve and overflow the display tank.

gravity fed running full sphion around 800gph.. with a vent hole on top maybe 200 or 300 gph for each pipe....
for a return it really depends on the pump... and how head pressure how many 90*s etc... there is alot of varibles in that... a pic or diagram would make it easier to figure out....
something to think about here is two 3/4" pipes does not equal a 1.5" pipe when it comes to flow...it is actually almost three 3/4" pipes equalling one 1.5" pipe... if that made sense lol!!!:)
