Fluval ammonia test

High i tested my ammonia with a fluval test kit and it came out a really light blue which is not any color on the test and i was just wondering if any one else has used this kit and if they know what my ammonia might be thank you

Sorry to revive an old thread but these tests are horrible. I have had maybe 25% of the tests I have done with it come back with some colour relatable to the chart. The other times it’s always some shade of green/blue that make no sense based on their colour progression. If anyone is looking at buying these, don’t.

To get your ammonia level, post a tank pic, of the setup. The rocks and animals if applicable

we dont need a kit 99.9% of the time depending on details from the pic because ammonia does the same thing in all display setups given a certain time underwater, tank pictures show time details nearly always. Your ammonia can be assessed down to the thousandths ppm nh3 off visuals from the picture, no cheap kits can help you past tenths level and for that you still have to get lucky.

I’m testing qt tanks with it so unfortunately it’s needed. My main tank is plugging along well though so thank you for the advice back when I wasn’t sure what was going on with the cycle. Have a Salifert test kit arriving tomorrow. Was using Red Sea which was good but ran out and lfs just had fluval left.
