Hey everyone, It's finally time to start my nano (eventually reef) tank!
I ordered 15 pounds of dry rock from reef cleaners and 20 pounds of fiji pink live sand (not totally sure when it will arrive with it being the holidays and everything).
I have the cobalt neo-therm 50 watt and plan on getting some iPETTIE aquarium fans at some point. I'm not too worried about it right now though as it gets pretty cold here during our Wisconsin winters.
As far as stocking goes I plan on getting a firefish goby, yellow watchman goby, and red banded pistol shrimp. I plan to get some coral at the end of the upcoming summer because I'll be out of town for 6 weeks and don't want my friend to have to deal with that while I'm gone.
I'll be running stock filtration for now (along with some filter floss in chamber 1) just because it's a low bioload and I'm pretty good at general husbandry. I plan on upgrading the pump in a month or 2 after it gets cycled and settled in. I have to move it back up to college near the end of January so I plan on letting it cycle until then and won't stock until it's settled in my apartment.
I'm probably missing some major things but I'll post as it comes to me and once I get the rock and sand :D
Let me know what you guys think of my plan. It's my first saltwater tank so I'm open to suggestions.
