Hello everyone! I am just curious who out there is also using a Flex 32.5 tank? I have one that i'm using temporarily while i build my "new-to-me" Redsea Reefer 250.

It is currently stocked with a Blue Velvet Damsel, Storm clownfish, Dispar Anthias, Flame Angel and 3 Green Chromis. I also have a Sea Cucumber and a few hermits /snails.

As far as corals i have several hammers(total of 17 heads), an orange Leptastrea frag, Stylophora frag, decent size pink zoa and a nice size Rhodactis mushroom.

I know it is a lot but my new tank will be ready to transfer all the fish/corals(in small batches of course) within a few weeks.

I will be getting my Reefer 250 wet in a couple days and starting my PATIENT fishless cycle.

Nice looking tanks, good job!

I think a few members for sure run those Fluval Flex tanks.

I don't mean to be negative at all, but are you aware that at least some of the Red Sea tanks have a fairly high number of failures (like catastrophic leaks)? There are many members here at R2R that won't run these tanks at all. I just want you to be aware of this. Maybe take a minute and search for "Red Sea Tank Failure" to see what I mean.

Good luck!!

Yeah, i'm aware of the Redsea track record. I did a thorough inspection of the tank and seals before i bought it from the seller. The system was up and running when i went to see it. I took a flashlight and went around the entire tank looking at the seams while it was running. The silicone is in impeccable condition. One aspect i like about the Redsea tanks is the armor strips on the inside edges to "protect" the seams from scraper contact. I know the armor isn't a guarantee but they do help.

I could tell he was careful around the seams when scraping algae from the glass. We had a long conversation about his maintenance routines.

After looking the tank over while it was operational i couldn't pass up the deal. The lights alone were worth the purchase price. It came with a AI Hydra 64HD and 2 x 12in AI Coral Grows. I plan to trade them on R2R Marketplace soon as i already have my 2 Radion XR15 Blues.

It also has an upgraded acrylic sump from Pro Clear Aquatic Systems which basically DOUBLED the sump capacity.

This isn't my final "dream" tank and i almost didn't buy it because i ultimately want a DT with at least 100 gallon capacity. I eventually want to have tangs and know i need a bigger tank for them.

This tank will be my first foray into a true sump system so will allow me to learn the ins and outs of running/maintaining a sump setup before deciding on which bigger NEW & WARRANTEED tank i buy down the road.

That's great, I'm glad you did some research on these tanks before deciding.

Good luck with your builds!
