That is a very weak light. I would not use it over anything taller than 12" and only if the corals you want to grow require lower light. That's just me. I'm sure someone has managed to grow acros with this light. However, keep in mind that this light has many very small 0.25 watt LEDs that have a very wide angle, so "light penetration" is very poor, meaning you lose PAR more quickly as you move away from the light. For the money, you can get great alternatives that are much stronger. Look into the Nicrew Gen2s or Noopsyches.

Hi yes I know its not the strongest light out there but I got it at a very cheap price.
It's on a fluval evo so isn't much more then 12in and seems to grow the jingle bells cyphastrea ok on the sand bed. Things are growing OK but would like to know what par it is actually meant to be fluval claims it at 50-100 at 12in but I don't believe them as the lie about there filters enough 🤣 and that probably with all channels on 100% I don't want to be running whites and red on 100%. Think whites are at 30% and reds not on.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!! IMHO I would get a hold of a PAR meter and test it in your tank. Good luck with whatever you choose!

It will work for a lot of corals, but turn it up to full power. If you want to keep corals that require higher lighting then consider to upgrade to something around 50 watts. Good luck
