As its not easy (impossable) to find Formaline medication for aquarium use (in Thailand) I was wondering if Formaline (formaldehyd solution 37-40%) is the same and safe for fish to get a 30-60 min dip?
And same solution used forbthe dip of 1ml/gl ?

A 37% solution is common solution but has its risks with dilution, atmospheric risks and handling risks
You should have access to cupramine in your country

Formalin is 37-40% formaldehyde gas in water and methanol. You want to try to find a product with low methanol (less than 12% if possible). Also, never use formalin that has any white precipitate in the bottom of the bottle. Always use personal protective gear when handling, and remember that it de-gasses from water, so it is best not to use it in your home. Formalin lowers the dissolved oxygen in water, you must aerate the dip very well at all times.

1 ml per gallon is WRONG! It is too high of a dose, but that number has been spread all over the Internet. One person made a mistake years ago (he used the 250 ppm formalin dose for cold water fish) and it just got spread from there. Many fish can survive this dose, but some will die or suffer gill damage. Tropical marine fish should never be dosed higher than 167 ppm for one hour (0.63 ml per gallon). Personally, I use 150 ppm (0.57 ml per gallon) for 45 minutes - it is just as effective, but much safer for the fish.

We have cupramine and using it
Reason for the formaline is that fish are currently in a .50 cupramine treatment but still we have some sort of parasitic outbreak so i suspect its Brookynella....
See video shot tonight...see white eyes lionfish and butterfly is covered...all this in .50 (yesterday hannah test .49) cupramine.....
